    The AS200 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1979. It was made in Japan. Initial production starting in 1979 was by FujiGen.Starting sometime in mid-1986 production moved to Terada which continued to produce the AS200 through 1991. Production returned to FujiGen for 1992 and has remained there until the end of the run.

    Dec 05, 2008 · Hi. Here's the low-down on the AS-200. It came into production in late 1979 and ANY AS-200 you can find will be of top quality. The Artist series of Ibanez guitars are top of the line. The AS-200 is an "evolution" from the older 2630 model Artist, which itself was in production from about 1977 through 1979. Also an excellent semi-hollow guitar.
