Oct 25, 2016 · I've been going through my iTunes library and have noticed a few artists appearing twice, or more than twice, under the Artists view in iTunes (v12 for MacOS). To give an example, here is the Artist: "Adele" whom I have 2 tracks from the same album.

Sep 22, 2009 · I'm trying to clean up and organize my iTunes. I have a lot of files that are the same artists but are featuring other artists so they each have their own category. For example: I have Bob Dylan and then I have a whole separate file for Bob Dylan ft. The Rolling Stones. And a file for Bob Marley and then a separate file for Bob Marley & The Wailers.

If the artist name is different, you can delete and re-enter the Album Artist name to make sure both albums are using the same Album Artist and Artist tags. Step 1. Jan 29, 2020 · To be clear, I meant Apple should have some way of separating the entries with the same names by whatever their unique ID is (there must be something that identifies artists uniquely behind the scenes on Apple’s side, or so you’d think) and then split those entries into distinct Artists on the Apple Music/iTunes side.

May 12, 2017 · It may show as two, three, or more separate albums. If you look at the tags, they are all the same, but somehow, iTunes doesn’t think they belong together. This is a fairly common problem, and, fortunately, there’s a simple solution. In iTunes, select all the tracks of the album, then press Command-I (Control-I on Windows).
