When A.A.P. became U.A.A. We all know A.A.P (Associated Artists Productions). For a company that really only existed for two years, it left behind quite a legacy. The company’s name has long been associated with the pre-1948 Warner Bros. cartoons and the Fleischer/Famous Popeye cartoons – which it purchased in 1956 and 1957 respectively.

In 1956, a television distribution company called Associated Artists Productions (or a.a.p.) bought most of Warner Bros. pre-1948 film library. They got all the color Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes made up until July 24, 1948 ("Haredevil Hare" being the latest cartoon they got) and the black-and-white Harman-Ising Merrie Melodies (except for 1931's "Lady Play Your Mandolin", for reasons unknown).

My take on a custom variant of the Associated Artists Productions logo, with Donald and Daisy Duck. Seen on syndicated TV prints of Donald Duck cartoons (excluding his appearances in Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts as a supporting character, except Donald and Pluto, Don Donald and Modern Inventions). Note: This logo variant is FAKE. Donald Duck©
