Alain Attar (1957 - ) Alain Attar is a mostly self taught abstract artist who was born in Fez, Morocco in 1957. He has several university degrees including two BA's and two MA's, the last one received at the University of Montreal in 1990, however none of them are in fine arts.

Perhaps this is because, before he became a full-time painter, Attar worked as a psychoanalyst.
