Feb 03, 2008 · If it's showing up there and not on the iPod, then it still seems the compilations setting is the most likely cause of this. Since iTunes and the iPod have distinct settings for whether tracks are grouped as part of a compilation, it's possible for the artist to show up properly on iTunes but still not appear properly on the iPod itself.

Sep 15, 2017 · The majority of these do show correctly but some are showing under Various Artists rather than in the bottom compilations section. In any case, check your iTunes settings under "View/ Column Browser/ Group Compilations" and "(same)/Use Album Artists". Maybe alter those settings to see if that changes things to your liking.

Jul 22, 2017 · With the old setup pre Apple Music, you could set this under settings>music>group by album artist>off. Then if you went into Artists, all the artists you had would show up - you would select the artist, and it would show all the albums on which that artist appeared. That option is gone now.

On your iPhone, can you pull up the songs under Compilations? Check the album info on iTunes on your computer. If it somehow got tagged as a 'compilation' (which could very easily be the case, given how hip-hop as a genre is prone to multiple compilations on albums.) then de-select this as an option, make sure it's listed with Chance as the Album Artist and this may solve your problem.

Aug 24, 2007 · Aug 22, 2007. #1. Just bought a new 30GB Video iPod. To be quick, a few songs that are on my iTunes do not show up in the Artist folder when I search for it that way on my iPod. However, they are there when I search for it under Songs. When I connect my iPod and check the songs that way, it says they are there.
