Dec 04, 2011 · I just aqcuired an htc wildfire s and have added music to it. Some of the tracks are listed under "unknown artist" even thought they clearly have the album artwork on them. I've tried turning it on and off again etc, and i made sure it was safe to disconnect from my pc. The tracks are from actual shop bought cd's, so no dodgy download files.

Mar 02, 2013 · Be aware that Android has always been bad about reading ID3 tags correctly, specifically with WMA, possibly with AAC. I have seen this unknown artist issue discussed in multiple forums, and unfortunately it's never been fixed. I think Android reads MP3 tags correctly, but it's a real pain when most of your music is in WMA format (like mine).
