A native of St. Kitts, Anthony Brownbill started painting on the island of St. Maarten in 1987. He moved to New York City in 1994, where he studied at the New York Studio School. Over the next four years, he immersed himself in the art of looking. Now a resident of Far Rockaway, Brownbill’s surroundings serve as inspiration for much of his work.
