Nelson Dominguez born in Baire, Santiago de Cuba on the 23rd of September 1947, is one of the great masters of Cuban art, both from the golden age of the Revolution and a contemporary period. The artist is considered to be on the greatest painters and engravers in Cuba, he has two studios, one used for etching in Cojímar and a studio in Central Havana where one would go to see his painterly genius.
After 6 years of dance studies in the National Art School in havana Cuba, Nelson joined Rosario Cardenas Company. In 2000 moved to Australia and created Havana Beat Productions Dance Company. Cuban Artist Nelson Domínguez was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1947. He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Arte Cubanacán from 1965 to 1970, and later became a Professor at the same school until 1985. He has been a Professor and Chair of the Painting Department at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), where he has headed a group of professors specialized in engraving.
