Note: David Prentice studied at Birmingham College of Art and Design. He was co-founder and director of the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham 1965-71. He has had numerous solo shows, including The Serpentine Gallery, London 1971, and won the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour competition in 1990.

David Prentice Artist and teacher, born in Solihull, Warwickshire. He studied at Moseley School of Art in Birmingham, 1949–52, then the College of Art and Design, 1952–7. Prentice was co-founder and director of the Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, 1965–71.
