She joined the art department at UC Berkeley in 1928, a position she held until 1950. Until the late 1940s her painting was influenced by Picasso and cubism, she then derived her subject matter from Northwest Indian art. In 1956 Peterson moved to Victoria, B.C. Condition Report: Good condition overall. Some bend marks at the edges of paperboard are visible.
