Jul 05, 2009 · An Artist Proof(AP) pin is used during the manufacturing of the pin to verify quality. Once the manufacturing is complete the company will send the AP pins to Disney. The number of AP Pins depends on how many pins were created. From there Disney will send a couple AP Pins to their archives. The rest will be saved or destroyed.
