    The Artists Village (TAV) is a contemporary art group in Singapore started by prominent artist Tang Da Wu in 1988 at the rural Lorong Gambas in Sembawang district.     More so than the Society of Chinese Artists and Modern Art Society, the Artists Village was a dynamo in fostering alterity in Singapore as the artists lived and worked together in a close community.
