May 23, 2017 · For some reason my Itunes refuses to sort my music alphabetically by artist. I do not have this problem by song title. This is what I have done to try to fix this: - Upgrade to the most recent version of itunes - Select the song and chose "info" then deleted the artists name and retyped it.

Jan 20, 2012 · So my iPod touch isn't sorting artists correctly. The last "A" artist is the first artist in "B", the last "B" artist is the first artist in "C" etc. This is really annoying me and I need to know how to fix it, anybody know what's wrong or how to fix it?

Nov 20, 2016 · Are you talking on your Macbook or iPhone/iPod/iPad? On the Macbook (or any computer using iTunes really)...simply click the tab over "Artist" and this will put your library of alphabetical order based on artist (or song, or album or any of the tab options you select)

Jun 23, 2005 · Easier way: For Alphabetizing songs when it comes to going to “Artists”, highlight all the songs and then a window called “Multiple Song Information” should appear. Check off the boxes that say “Track Number” and leave them blank, then hit ok.

Jan 24, 2015 · All you do is open your Itunes then select an album or playlist. Next what your going to do is right click the first song of the album and select "Get Info" from the menu. Then you will click on the "Sorting" tab at the top. Under the sorting tab you will find a field called "Sort name".

Over the weekend I upgraded my iPod 3 to iOS 5.1.1 and jailbroke it. Today I noticed that artists and albums are not properly sorted and it doesn't display everything. However, all the tracks are on the iPod and in iTunes I can see all the tracks/albums/artists in the correct order. This is what it looks like:

Apr 04, 2011 · The artists here are generally ordered alphabetically. Dizzee Rascal before Louis Armstrong before MGMT and so on. The exception is The Black Eyed Peas. This is because iTunes ignores 'The' and 'A' at the start of an artist name when sorting.
