Mar 02, 2018 · Chalk pastels are more like the school crayons used on black boards. They are dusty and very light and weak in colour (due to the large amounts of chalk). Soft pastels come in varying qualities of course but a good soft pastel is more pigment than anything else, so it is much more colourful, less dusty and more firm.
We’ve been following the chalk pastel lessons at YouAREanARTiST.com for the past few months.
