Oct 14, 2009 · The super artist was played by Clifford Brown, a very talented jazz trumpeter in the late 40's. He was killed at a very young age (28 I think?) in an accident on the PA turnpike. I have a 1947 model in my shop (also underslung 3rd slide ring), awaiting a valve refit job. Nice, heavy, solid horn.
