Campbell Taylor studied at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford, subsequently at the St. John's Wood School, and from 1905 the Royal Academy Schools. He was elected to the Royal Society of Oil Painters in 1905, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in 1909 and elected ARA in 1923 and a Royal Academician in 1931.

Leonard Campbell Taylor (12 December 1874 – 1 July 1969) was a British painter, mainly of portraits and interiors in a traditional style. Among his patrons was the founding family of Courtaulds and the Courtauld Institute of Art. He was a member of the Royal Academy.
