    Carmelle Safdie is a New York City based artist, musician, and archivist. She has participated in three biennial exhibitions at the Queens Museum, where she exhibited a commissioned installation in 2012. Major works have also been shown at Sikkema Jenkins & Co. in NYC, Franklin Street Works in Stamford, CT, and Palazzo Cavour in Turin, Italy.

    Visual artist, musician, and songwriter Carmelle Safdie established a rich practice for her music, paintings, and graphic artistry over the years, working out of a home base in Queens, New York. Along with exhibiting paintings and other artwork, Safdie co-founded, sang, and played percussion in jangly twee punk band Beachniks from 2008 until their 2013 breakup.
