Artist Bio. Carolyn Whitesel a Kentucky based artist, poet, illustrator, bookbinder, and book artist. She is best known for her involvement with Larkspur Press, a small publishing company based out of Kentucky, and her innovative paper creations which involve pop-up books, accordion spines, word collage poems, and several other paper cut compositions.

Working in all things paper, Whitesel is a bookbinder who creates with handmade paper, cut paper and letterpress printing. Her company Yellowbird Editions produces handcrafted note cards, paper and journals. Along with two gallery talks, Whitesel will be conducting hands-on workshops on case binding and stamped paper on May 8-9 and May 29-30.
