The Young Artists Competition is our oldest project and is a concerto competition for area secondary school musicians, ages 12 to 18. It was established in 1955 in partnership with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. This year, the Competition will unfold in two phases - a preliminary round via video submissions, and a final round via live performance.

The Final Competition will be held: Saturday, February 13. 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Christ Lutheran Church Sanctuary - 4591 Providence Road. Due to NC Covid restrictions, as well as facility protocols, attendance will be restricted. More information to follow which will adhere to state regulations in place at the time of the competition.

An additional division video fee of $20 fee will be required for those advancing to the division level. Deadline for video submission to Acceptd is Wednesday, December 2, 2020, 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The three-tiered Young Artist Performance Competitions begin with live state competitions.
The Young Chamber Musicians Competition is open to chamber ensembles with musicians over the age of 14 with the average age of the ensemble remaining under 25. Ensembles must consist of 2-8 musicians. All instruments are eligible, excluding voice and all electronic/amplified instruments.

She is a 2019 Seattle Young Artist Music Festival Gold Medalist and a semi-finalist in the 2019 Louis Spohr International Violin Competition. She will be competing on the international stage again in the Grumiaux International Violin Competition in Brussels, Belgium this March. She studies with Simon James in Seattle, WA.
