Cornè Theron was born in Worcester in the Western Cape in 1974. She matriculated in Bloemfontein and went on to study law at the University of the Orange Free State, graduating in 1997 with an LLB. She married and moved to Swellendam and now normally lives on a wine farm in Breedekloof but currently spends an art sabbatical in France.

About Corne. Corne Theron is a contemporary figurative artist. She explores the interplay between our psyche and our circumstances. Her work is influenced by her involvement in Future of Hope, a project she founded for foster children and parents in the Breedekloof. Her first-hand experience as foster and now adoptive mom, also influences her approach.
