About. The Specialty Glass Residency was a focused artist residency program jointly run by the Corning Museum of Glass and Corning Incorporated. The program ran between 2014 - 2020 and has been placed on indefinite hold in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. When running, the residency enabled artists to explore the adaptation of specialty glass materials for the creation of new work.

Feb 15, 2018 · This partnership residency supports artists working in a variety of mediums. Artists spend one month at The Studio in Corning, and two to six months in Kohler Co.’s foundry (casting iron or brass) or pottery studio (slip casting clay) in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Glassworking experience is required, but foundry and ceramic experience is not.
