David Hunt is a self taught figurative artist based in Sandwich, Kent, U.K. David's work is based on a life long fascination with the natural world - from the landscape that surrounds us and the rocks beneath our feet to the creatures with whom we share this space.

David Hunt (b. 1974), Kent, England. Amongst other exhibitions, his work has been shown at the Mall Galleries as a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition and at the Society Of Wildlife Artists Natural Eye Exhibition. He has also been awarded one of the Society of Wildlife Artists 2016 bursaries to attend the John Busby Seabird Drawing Course in Scotland.

About the Artist. Born in southern California, David Hunt spent most of his formative years traveling; he and his family lived in the Philippine Islands, China, Japan and the Pacific Rim. He spent time working as a deckhand on a charter sailboat along the Atlantic coast of the United States and the Caribbean, while the rocky coast of Maine and the deserted Leeward Islands also became a part of his visual language.
