David Cobley (1954-), Painter. Artist of 2 portraits Cobley was born in Northampton and grew up in the Midlands. After completing a foundation course at Northampton School of Art, he went to Liverpool School of Art for his diploma, but dropped out in the first term. The next nine years were spent in Japan where he studied Comparative Culture.

David has been drawing and painting since early childhood. He trained at Northampton and Liverpool Schools of Art before spending several years in Japan.
