Dev'ia: Deaf art movement. De'VIA is an art movement of the Deaf artists about their Deaf-related experience. It stands for Deaf View/Image Art. The De'VIA movement began in 1989 at the Deaf Way festival conference at Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C. where a group of Deaf artists gathered and discussed that led to the creation of De'VIA with its manifesto.
