Although his name would later become closely associated with Gibson, Les was very much an Epiphone player early in his career during the Thirties and Forties. He even did some of the work on his pioneering solidbody electric guitar prototype, the Log, at the Epiphone factory.

Beautiful 1996 Epiphone Sorrento. Made in South Korea at the coveted Peerless factory! Very similar to the Casino. The only blemish I am seeing on this guitar is a little bit of glue that ran over on the 1st string side of the nut. (See photos) I'm missing the pick-up selector switch tip.

Aug 11, 2014 · This is a reproduction of the '62 Sorrento, right down to the metal Epiphone logo plate on the headstock, and the headstock is a separate piece of wood just like the original. There are no modern toys like coil-splitting. The bridge is of the old "floating" type - it's held against the top of the body by string tension alone.
