Erin Mitchell is an Alabama native who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in fiber and material studies, painting, and printmaking. Mitchell creates paintings and photography inspired by the iconography of black womanhood. Mitchell is affiliated with AMFM Gallery of Chicago, IL where her most recent work, KINSHIP, debuted.
