The Fosseway Artists group was established following the closing down of the Cirencester Art Club at its Annual General Meeting in June 1965. The new society was inaugurated on the 8th November 1965 at a meeting at Lavender House Studio. A Constitution was drawn up and the annual Membership fee set at 10s 6d (about 52p in today's money!). There were 18 signatories in attendance at the inaugural meeting.

Exhibitions. It is still the aim of The Fosseway Artists to hold at least one exhibition a year, in the Spring, and whenever possible a second exhibition is held in the Autumn. So that standards are upheld, two guest selectors are invited from outside the Society to select work for exhibiting. The only criteria for selection is the quality of work.

Aug 16, 2019 · Our 101st Exhibition of Paintings & Sculpture is currently showing at the Village Hall in Lower Slaughter, Glos. Open every day from 10am to 6pm the show runs until Tuesday 20th August. Note that we close at 4pm on the final day.
