The extraordinary life of this World War II POW and Camano Island artist will be the focus of this presentation at the Camano School House this September 15th at 2 PM. As a platoon sergeant, Fred Pilkington was taken prisoner during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 spending four months in captivity.

Frederick Thomas Pilkington (1832-1898), pupil of his father, was a "Rogue" British architect, practising in the Victorian High Gothic revival style. He designed mostly churches and institutional buildings in Scotland.
