Aug 16, 2018 · Geoffrey de Groen says he’s endlessly interested in 'silence, stillness, darkness', and from his studio in Taralga in the NSW Southern Tablelands he is happy to spend a whole day admiring the beautiful light there from before dawn till after dusk. 'It has a completeness to it. I hope my work has a completeness to it, too.

Geoffrey de Groen Biography Born in Brisbane, Geoffrey was raised and educated in Sydney. Between 1957 and 1965 he attended classes at the Julian Ashton School, the North Sydney Technical College, and completed his studies under Wallace Thornton at the East Sydney Technical College.
