Compilation albums have an Album Artist of Various Artists and are listed at the end of the Cover Flow list, after albums by artists with numbers. So the order will be: ZZ Top; 23 Skidoo; Various Artists - (then albums are listed in alphabetical order)

Sep 13, 2007 · Yeah, the various artists trick does not work because cover flow in the classic uses the artist field and not the album artist. The 5 gen allowed you to eliminate compilations from all lists organized by artist, including the artist section. Why would they get rid of this.

Feb 23, 2008 · No you can't take it off because it's not optional, BUT I never use (or rarely use) the cover flow option and find all the music fine. Just browse through what you're wanting through either playlists, artists, albums or I normally go onto "All songs" if I'm not too bothered what to listen to. 0 0. jabez.

Sep 19, 2007 · I recently bought a 160G Classic and must confess to liking Cover Flow, my issue is that despite ensuring the album artist name is "Various Artists" on compilations Cover Flow seems to show the album cover by the artists name so for compiltaions I get numerous repeats of the album cover when using Cover Flow.
