    Biography Harold Town was born in Toronto in 1924 and studied at the Western Technical School and Ontario College of Art (grad. 1944). After a short stint drawing “Minute Man” for Whiz Comics (1943), Town began his career as a free-lance commercial artist, doing illustrations and covers for Mayfair and Maclean’s and other magazines.
