About — Heather McGee

About me. I began my wildlife painting career in 1976. I continue the technique developed by my mother, artist Joyce Haynes and father, geologist Wilbur Haynes. The color, shape, and texture of the semi-precious stone and mineral slabs provide natural background for my realistic, acrylic, wildlife paintings. Jade, petrified wood, dinosaur bone, and howlite are some of my favorite "canvases".
