I am just astounded these could be shipped with this problem being so obvious. Just start typing pavilion dv6 and you'll see that overheating comes up in the top google listings right after spec and manual. Not surprising HP stock is where it's at with this kind of design.

+1 for never buying or recommending a HP product after dealing with the DV6 debacle. I service computers for a living, and I have at least 20 of these dogs lying under my stairs, all dead because of the poor cooling design features, and nothing has changed over the years of them knowing about the problem, HP have done nothing.
