With Les Paul-esque looks and a reasonable price tag, the Ibanez Artist AR100 electric guitar is a great alternative choice for Les Paul seekers. The AR100 began its run either in the very late '70s or very early '80s -- either way, the earlier models are worth just a bit more than their modern successors.5/5(7)

In Praise of The Ibanez Artist (vintage genre) The Gear Page

Nov 20, 2018 · I bought a new Ibanez Artist 2618 in 1978. It was an excellent guitar that I would describe as a double-cutaway Gibson Les Paul. After two years, I sold it and bought a new 1980 Gibson Les Paul Standard. I preferred the sound of the Gibson to that of the Ibanez. The Gibson was not better, just different in a way that I preferred.
