Sep 17, 2016 · For some reason iTunes 'selected' 4 (that I've noticed) out of my 1775 albums and did its automatic update anyway. I guess this is a bug in the latest version, perhaps during the updating process. I've changed the album art back to what I want and will keep an eye on them. I'll feed back to this thread if iTunes changes the art again.

Jan 15, 2017 · I have iTunes Match, so I don't know if that is part of the problem. I download the songs, add the desired artwork, and then copy the files to my desk top. I then check to make the album art has embedded in the actual file. If everything looks good, I delete the original files and reimport the new files into iTunes.

Feb 03, 2020 · The first thing you can try to resolve your issue is to right-click on an album in iTunes that’s missing artwork and choosing Get Album Artwork. In the popup menu, confirm by selecting Get Album Artwork. Repeat manually for every album in your collection that is missing artwork.

1) Get rid of the Album Artists field altogether, select all tracks and Get Info. Set the Album Artist field to blank, meaning song are grouped solely by their Artist and not Album Artists. The songs in the various artists albums will still be linked by the album name if you just want that album.
