Aug 30, 2013 · I can't edit the artist names in iTunes 11. I'll select a group of songs and then click "get info" and change the information, and the changes show in iTunes when I'm under "song" but when I sync my ipod or when I'm under the "artist" tab, they are still listed as diffrent artists. Example: I have Hillsong, Hillsong Live, and Hillsong United songs.

I faced the same issue after upgrading my iPod touch to iOS 5.1.1. I ended up restoring it to factory settings, and setting to auto-sync with iTunes (I ordinarily prefer to sync it manually!). I also had to change not only all "artist" names but also "album artist" names, as the new software appears to list the music according to album artists.
