Having grown up in Kentucky, James Secor is an artist living and working in Central Vermont. He moved to Montpelier with his partner in 2012 and now works as a software developer in Montpelier. He has shown his paintings consistently throughout Vermont and the Northeast since graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in 2010.

Dec 31, 2019 · Montpelier-based artist James Secor was born and raised in the hills of eastern Kentucky and studied painting at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY. He has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout Vermont and his 2017 Studio Place Arts show, #nomophobia, was rated a favorite Vermont exhibition of the year by Seven Days magazine.
