About. I was born in 1946 and raised on the family farm near Boggabri, northern NSW. I attended the local bush school before moving to The Armidale School. Here I came under the influence of Fred Roberts, who introduced me to the possibilities of art. I won the watercolour prize at the Currabubula Art show in 1964, just as I left school, which was a further incentive to continue painting.
