Jan Lewis is a painter, photographer and creator of mixed media pieces. She began art training at Georgia State University and later applied her creative talents to rehabilitation, earning a BS in Occupational Therapy from Georgia Regents University.

Jan Lewis paints the sea and shore, collecting images and sense memories of the light, air, the salty ocean spray and the sounds of the crashing surf. Using collage, light-infused watercolor and most recently, painterly acrylic technique, Jan creates impressionistic images that capture the always changing nature of the water at the shoreline.
