Jane Hyslop is an artist with particular interest in artists' books, drawing and printmaking. She lectures in the School of Art and the School of Design.

Jane Hyslop studied at Edinburgh College of Art between 1985 and 1990. In her final year she was awarded a scholarship that enabled her to spend a few months working in Italy. Since her return she has lived and worked in Edinburgh. Both a painter and a printmaker, she is best known for her witty, descriptive and decorative prints of Scottish towns.

Jane Hyslop, a lecturer at ECA since 1990 is well known for her historical and political documentation using drawing, print and book arts. Jane has documented the decline of the mining industry, the dereliction of former mine workings, railways and other man made sites in parallel with the regeneration of the land in her native Midlothian.
