Sep 14, 2017 · From school I went to study Fine Art at Manchester Polytechnic. At that time there was an emphasis on abstract and expressive gestural painting generally within U.K. Art Schools. However there was a group of about ten of us who wanted to pursue representational and figurative painting.

West Kirby Art Group West Kirby Art Group has evolved from artists attending sessions about painting and drawing led by Joe McGillivray at the West Kirby Arts Centre. The groups first exhibition was in July 2017 and one of the aims of the group is to share and exhibit members work on a regular basis.
