John Nicholson - Artist. John Nicholson is a Scottish artist who has lived and worked in the Highlands for over 45 years and is currently based in the City of Inverness. With his family roots in Skye, he is drawn to the subject matter provided by the west coast of Scotland. He also likes to spend time in France every year where the weather allows him more opportunity to work direct from nature.

In addition, John has exhibited in Eden Court Theatre and Inverness Museum and Art Gallery (with Highland Art Teachers) and Highland Printmakers, Inverness. Formerly a member of Highlands Open Studios he contributed to their mixed exhibitions. He has also undertaken a number of landscape and portrait commissions.
