Kay Smith was born in the UK in 1959. Ever since then, Kay has trained hard as a graphic designer and this is clearly reflected in her work today with her masterful use of bold and evocative imagery. Kay paints full time from her studio/gallery from Grand Cayman but her incredible work is sold internationally.

Kay is a co-founder of Caboose Watercolor Society, a local group devoted to the promotion of water media. While teaching at her own studio, Brushworks, she is in demand as an instructor, lecturer, and juror. In 1993 Kay took her first watercolor workshop with Ken Hosmer and she is still just as passionate about the medium today.
