Laurence Young has spent most of his adult years as a career artist. He grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, but now resides in Provincetown, MA. Young’s relationship to Provincetown dates back to the early 60’s where as a young man he came for the social scene. Laurence Young From a very early age, Laurence Young had a passion for making art and never veered very far from that conviction. He grew up in Newton Massachusetts and attended the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Laurence graduated with honors in 1974 with a BFA in art education.
