    Louis Abrahams. Born in London in 1852, Louis Abrahams arrived in Australia in 1860. He studied at the Melbourne National Gallery School in 1875 and formed a life-long friendship with Frederick McCubbin. His earliest etchings date from this period. With McCubbin and Tom Roberts he painted at the first artists’ camp at Box Hill.
