    There is a new artwork in the studio. Medieval Tiles is by textile artist Margaret Talbot. Margaret used free-machine embroidery in this work, piecing together fragments of cloth to create small squares filled with fleur-de-lis, stars and flowers, before hand-painting and quilting the whole. I think it was created around 1998 because the piece is first shown on a website in 1999.
