    MICHAEL PELLETTIERI : ARTIST STATEMENT My work is autobiographic. The material I work with comes from the visual experiences I have from life around me. Since I have always lived in New York, many ideas come from the city.

    Michael Pellettieri. Michael Pellettieri studied at Art Students League with Edwin Dickinson, Robert Beverly Hale, Joseph Hirsch, and Harry Sternberg. He has a BA in Fine Arts from the CUNY, School of Arts and Sciences, and a MA from Hunter College, NY. He studied printmaking at the New School of Social Research with John Ross.

    Michael Pellettieri, 2021. At what age did you decide to become an artist? Having painted as a child, with memories of making drawings at the age of one, I think I was an artist before I knew that I wanted to become one. But I did make a conscious decision when I was sixteen or seventeen in my senior year at the High School of Music and Art.
