    Molly Lamb Bobak was born near Vancouver, British Columbia on February 25, 1920. She was the daughter of Alice Mary Price and art critic, Harold Mortimer Lamb. Bobak joined the Canadian Women's Army Corps (CWAC) in 1942 and was later promoted to lieutenant.
