That's like Common saying Hip Hop was better before in 1994 (I Used to Love H.E.R.) arguably the greatest year ever for the genre. Another funny thing about the album is that it's got nothing in common with the "old school" (which back then probably meant 79-82 aka before Run-D.M.C.), it was on the contrary a totally innovative album.
