As announced on April 28th, the 2020 edition of RBC Bluesfest has regretfully been cancelled, due to COVID-19. Artist Submissions CLOSED RBC Bluesfest will not be collecting submissions for the 2021 festival. Given that we were unable to produce the full-scale festival this year due to COVID-19, 2020 applications will be honoured for 2021. Applications will be collected for CityFolk. Beyond the big names such as Beck, Foo Fighters or Bryan Adams, there are dozens of local acts with a spot on one of the festival’s stages. Emma Francis is the point person for the festival in the search for local talent. She says that every year in February a small contingent of Bluesfest employees sifts through about 500 applications.
